Making the most of things

Wow – I can’t believe it’s been so long since we last wrote a blog post! Life has been super busy recently which is why we felt the need to take a nice drive to Lulworth Cove after school last week.

With temperatures hitting around 26 degrees last week, a trip to the beach was a fantastic way to cool down after a busy day at school.

Lulworth Cove is only about 20 minutes away from us and the views are just breathtaking. The water is crystal clear and TJ loved being about to splash around for a couple of hours.

He went for a little swim before being treated to an enormous lolly pop!

It was lovely to be there when the beach was quiet as, for obvious reasons, it gets really busy during the summer months.

I don’t know about you, but bedtime has been getting later and later with the light evenings so we weren’t too bothered about time. It was nice to just relax and play until we all got tired.

We’ve only got about 2 weeks left at school/work before we get to spend 6 whole weeks together. We are determined the make the most of our time off and if this glorious weather hangs around, I think we’ll be spending a fair bit of our time at the beach!

I have just the same intention for our beaches here in Cornwall over the summer holidays, I’m really hoping the lovely weather holds on. Lulworth Cove is so well known and looks beautiful. What a treat to have it so close to home. Late nights at the beach are worth breaking bedtime routines for.
